Mission
The Mission of the Church of God (Seventh Day) in South African is to publish and preach the full Gospel to the peoples of our country, and provide comprehensive understanding to those called of God to be members of the Body of Christ. The goal is to build congregations of like-minded people, and to supply in their continual spiritual needs.
The full Gospel message involves many facets of understanding from the complete Bible. Firstly, it involves understanding the good news of the Kingdom of God as presented in the prophesies and proclaimed by Christ. Secondly, it requires a commitment to the Commandments for the Covenant to be established and a relationship with The Father and His Son to be built. Thirdly, it requires a comprehensive study into the spiritual symbols of the Bible providing insight into the worship of God through the Heavenly Sanctuary. Fourthly it requires a study into the Law, to understand how the Kingdom of God will function. This requires the forming of the group of saints, the Church of God, and gaining experience in interaction, thereby growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ.
Therefor the Church provides sermons, Bible study and fellowship. The congregation needs fellowship, and nurturing, with services such as the Lord's Supper, baptism, praying for the sick, marriage ceremonies, youth growth opportunities, and more.
The mission is to build a Christian community by providing all these services for the edification of the saints.
